BEHIND THE MASK
Lascivious looks behind the masks of misogyny and racism to explore the inner fears that leads to the oppression of others. It questions the universal need for acceptance that feeds fascism masquerading as patriotism. And it exposes the hypocrisy of moral elitism.
AN UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH
Lascivious explores the quickly changing social dynamic of a group haunted by the secret legacy of an antebellum estate. Freed from the bonds of “normal society” the heirs begin to indulge their newfound privilege as they act out their darkest impulses. Falling into the descendant’s archaic practice of social inequity the group begins to mirror the ghosts of the estate’s dark past.
UNIQUE VISUAL STYLE
To give the audience a sense they are witnessing something they shouldn’t be watching the camera will move voyeuristically through the story, glimpsing into the shadows best left in the dark. On a conscious and subconscious level, Lascivious will be layered with imagery that enhances the tone. Subliminal images will increase the tension and sense of foreboding as the movie moves to a visual climax.
